Our first day of work immersion started at 7:00 AM when we arrived at Itech Computer Academy Inc. in Taloy, Malasiqui, Pangasinan. While waiting, Ma’am Madel asked us to clean the stairs from the 4th floor down to the 1st floor along with our classmates. It was quite a task, but we managed to finish it. After that, she gathered us for a quick group photo with our adviser, Sir Jericho Mejia, before the flag ceremony began. After the ceremony, Ma’am Laila assigned us to our designated tasks. I was paired with Jonelle D. Mesa, and we were sent to the driving lesson area. Our job was simple, take pictures of the students while they were practicing and send them to our group chat. It felt a bit like being a photographer for a day! Once we wrapped up that task, Ma’am Laila let us take a short break before lunch. After eating, we made sure to return early—before 1:00 PM. In the afternoon, we were assigned to the blue desk to look after the area. Then, Sir Mark called us over to help in the canteen while they had to step out for a bit. I, Carlito, and Valerie ended up frying fish balls, which was actually fun and gave us a little break from the usual tasks. When Sir Mark returned, we were finally allowed to go back to our workplace to get our things. But before heading home, we did a quick clean-up and took some pictures for documentation. Overall, it was a productive and fun first day of work immersion. It wasn’t too heavy, but it gave us a taste of real-world tasks. After everything, I went home, rested, and recharged for another day of work tomorrow!
